A totem pole in Rockport? Up close and personal:

Today is Friday, April 18th, and I am starting Project 365. I will be taking a picture a day, to learn, to grow, to see, to discover... to get me out of my rut, and to learn and pursue this LOVE of photography that I have. I hope you enjoy this journey with me and my camera.

I'm jealous. My photo buddy just took a new job, and we won't be hiking our lunch hours away to get that 'perfect shot' any more....
Hopefully, Jenny will reward me with two photography classes for the Summer, though...
Nice shot... I'll be visiting daily.
Don't forget to update your other blog, though....
:)

Joanne,
Ok, to answer you earlier question, yes, the you can shoot RAW. .jpg is easy and you can immediately post it, but if you post process it with either Photoshop or Nikon's Capture NX, you can do amazing things within the picture itself.
RAW files are HUGE, though, as no compression is done on them. Figure about a meg per megapixel, so each image would be roughly 6mb on your camera.
