Day 105

After work and before the rain came, we enjoyed a nice walk to the beach. Jolie ran around a bit. Jim smoked his stogie (a cuban my mom's friend gave him when we were visiting my family up in Canada a few weeks back)... Anyway... jim was lost in thought, and enjoying his cigar... In the not so far off distance we could hear our daughter singing, as she made hearts and squiggles in the sand... I smiled and took this photo of my man, watching my girl, on my beach... thinking YES... life is good... :)

Day 104

Spent another day after work trying to figure out what to take a picture of. I stopped for a minute (or three) and admired my amazing jolie... this little amazing girl, who I am so blessed to have brought into this world... Well, she was glued to the tv, watching (what else) high school musical (yes she is only 5 and loves the movie)... Anyway, I played around in different modes to get a funky cool effect... and I quite liked the way it turned out.... my amazing little girl...

Day 103

Please remind me why I don't wake up early and take morning walks every single wonderful day?!? This is just minutes from my house!!!

What a way to start my day walking here... I feel energized and fabulous now! Amazing what a brisk beach morning photo shoot walk can do to your soul and your day...

Day 100

Day 100 was for the birds...

day 100 - for real? crazy! Anyway... had a party, had fun, then all of a sudden a huge flock of seagulls swarmed and filled the sky. I didn't get my camera out in time to get the mass of them. But this one came out quite cool with the tree framing the corners.

Day 98

Another rainy day.

Worked late tonight, so I took a picture of my monitor stand. I love having things on my desk that make me smile... from pics of jolie, to empty boxes of my favorite Canadian treats, and happy quotes. I keep these things around me to remind be to be just that... happy!

CHEERS & HAPPY WEEKEND WISHES TO YOU ALL!

I looked around in despair, and quite liked this shell and window ledge in my living area. so... here is my pic for the day...

Day 94

The 12 hour drive home from my parents cottage. I almost squealed in delight when we saw this sign... Knowing our long trek was almost over, and we'd be home so very soon...

Day 92

Sitting on a rock on Woodland Beach, watching the sun set... the water splashed over and over on these rocks. I played a bit with the shutter speed, and quite liked the results of this...

Day 91

Today we ventured into Collingwood. We walked in and out of shops, spent a little, and feasted a lot at this incredible little jewel of a find: 'Tesoro. Traditional Italian Foods.'

YUM! yum! YUM! The P.E.I. mussels (both kinds) were to die for! Our pizza, delish! Local beer on tap, amazing... and smiles on all of our faces. Two thumbs up for this quaint, cozy family restaurant in Collingwood, Ontario.

Day 86 - #2

You know we had a 'few' nice cold Canadian beers while on vacation. Here were a few of my favorite caps...

Day 86

Our first visit in my hometown of Mississauga, was with my cousin and her husband in their new beautiful home. I did a mini pregnacy photo shoot (my first ever) with her, and they just both beamed and had so much fun with me...

Day 85

9 hours in our car and now stuck on the bridge to Canada... I smiled when I saw my 2 favorite flags, knowing that soon I would be with my family...

Thursday, July 10, 2008

Day 84

The night before we left for our 9 day whirlwind of a vacation, I needed to get my pic for the day. So we took a break from packing, and Jolie & I went for a quick stroll to the beach.

We walked up and down the boardwalk, the sunset and surf was amazing... but what I liked best was this oh so green field grass and one pink flower peeking through...

Day 83

GOOD-BYe 4 Now...

...I am going on vacation! :) This cuteness above is part of a gift for my cousin, who is having a 'BY'.... well actually she is having a BABY. I took only the 'tail' end of the box, and decided to make this my Good-BYe image, as I will be gone for 9 days and will have limited if any internet access. My parents do not use computers (mom is turning 70 next week), and we will be at my family's cottage for most of the week. And well... I think I will be swimming, hanging, lazing, loving life with my family and friends... And I can NOT wait!

Wishing you all only the best! If I do manage to find an open wireless connection, I will pop on for sure! If not... my days will continue when I return home on or shortly after the 20th.

HAPPY DAYS TO YOU!!!

Day 82

Jolie LOVES to draw hearts. Anywhere. Anytime. She LOVES hearts.

This one was the first. Once she approved it, she continued on to the next... and next.... and next... (note - she draws a heart around her (you can see her footprints in the middle of the heart)... it is so so cute to watch.)

Here is the final piece she created, we titled it "Love on the Beach"...

Day 81

I have decided today, on day 81 of 365, that my pictures of the day will represent something special that happened on that particular day. Not just the best picture technically... but the best moment, the best feeling, the best to me.

Anyway, with that said... here is Jolie (the best to me). Jim was finishing painting the deck. Jolie got up on the ladder, and the sun was setting behind me over the pond... the lighting took my breath away.

As does she... my beautiful and silly jolie...

Day 80

Today we went on a hike. We felt like we were miles away from everything, and just got lost and explored a little. The kids LOVED leading the way, and we loved being led by them. They were on top of the world, so proud to be leading their moms on an amazing adventure!

Day 79

Life should be this carefree and fun every day!

Friday, July 4, 2008

Day 78

On our way home after a fun filled day, we noticed fireworks going off at our local beach. We parked and walked right onto the beach, sat in the sand, and watched as locals set off their own incredible fireworks all along, up and down Long Beach. We all ooohed and aghed. I didn't have my tripod, but this picture of Jim & Jolie, and the incredible fireworks right above us, well this was one of the best most special fireworks events we've seen together yet! :)

Thursday, July 3, 2008

Day 77

Tonight we watched the incredible fireworks from our friends porch up on a hill.

I brought my tripod, set my camera to manual, and prayed. I set my shutter to 6 or 8 seconds, and aperture up to 11... and this was my favorite shot of the night!

Gloucester's City Hall bell tower is on the lower left and under 'wraps' (construction). I was happy with the results of the light and clairty on the tower, and just LOVE the looks of the blue streaming down from the fireworks!

HAPPY 4th of JULY!
