Day 46

And the waves crashing around me
The sand slips out to sea
And the winds that blow remind me
Of what has been and what can never be

I am a lighthouse worn by the weather and the waves
And though I'm empty I still warn the sailors on their way

Lyrics from Nickel Creek, The Lighthouse's Tale

Joanne,

Beautiful shot. I especially like your use (either intentional or non) of convex shapes echoed from the rocks, water, and earth under each light house.

Good timing on the water. The short shutter speed really stopped the action.

jay - i have no clue what you said about these convex shapes, will have to look closer! I also took a few (understatement) of the waves on rocks - did not change the shutter speed - had it in apeture priority - and well... goodness it is hard to understand it all! hoping for some 1 on 1 jay teaching me the basics when you guys visit!!! thanx on liking this image - I am quite pleased with it too!!! :)
